Junior HR, Payroll, and Admin Officer
Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Reports to: Managing Director, Tradeshi
Job Summary:
Tradeshi, an official channel partner of Alibaba.com in Bangladesh, is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Junior HR, Payroll, and Admin Officer to join our team. This role is key to our new venture into becoming a buying house, specializing in apparel, jute, and other goods. The successful candidate will manage our Verified Supplier account, engage with foreign buyers, and drive rapid revenue growth. This is a unique merchandising role with significant growth potential, as we expect the candidate to develop their own team and take on a leadership position based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Management:
- Manage day-to-day HR activities, including employee onboarding, maintaining personnel records, and updating HR policies.
- Coordinate and execute monthly/quarterly employment pulse surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Assist in hiring processes, including posting job ads, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new staff.
- Support department managers and the Managing Director in performance management, including tracking KPIs, managing underperforming staff, and facilitating employee development plans.
- Administer employee benefits, leave management, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
2. Payroll Management:
- Coordinate payroll runs in collaboration with the accountants and department managers, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursements.
- Gather and verify KPI data for calculating bonuses and performance-based incentives.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related inquiries or issues from employees.
3. Administrative Duties:
- Oversee general office management tasks, including ordering stationery, managing maintenance staff, and ensuring the office environment is well-maintained and conducive to productivity.
- Organize and coordinate company events, getaways, and team-building activities.
- Handle administrative tasks such as document management, scheduling meetings, and liaising with vendors and service providers.
- Support the Managing Director and other senior staff with any ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
4. Culture Building:
- Focus on rapidly closing deals with foreign buyers to generate revenue.
- Track and report on sales performance, ensuring that KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Work collaboratively with the Managing Director and other team members to develop strategies for revenue growth.
5. Career Growth & Leadership:
- Play a key role in fostering a positive and collaborative work culture by organizing team-building activities, promoting open communication, and supporting employee engagement initiatives.
- Act as a point of contact for employees seeking HR support or guidance, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in HR, payroll, or administrative roles.
- Familiarity with payroll software and HR systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong sense of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
